2026/2027 Evoke Company Contract | MICRO MINI

Welcome to Evoke Dance Movement! This Agreement outlines the expectations, responsibilities, policies, and commitments that help create the positive, professional, and supportive environment that defines our Company.

This Agreement is intended to inform Dancers auditioning for the 2026–2027 Evoke Dance Movement Company, and their Parents/Guardians, of the expectations and standards required of all Company members. It serves as a binding agreement between Evoke Dance Movement ("Evoke") and the Parent/Guardian of each selected Company member.

By accepting placement in the Company and signing this Agreement, the Parent/Guardian and Dancer acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by the terms, policies, and expectations outlined herein. Together, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, accountability, kindness, and respect while supporting every Dancer's growth as both an artist and an individual.

Our Philosophy

1. MISSION, CULTURE & VALUES

Evoke Dance Movement is dedicated to developing well-rounded, versatile Dancers through professional training across a wide range of dance styles. Our mission is to foster exponential growth in every student who walks through our doors, both as artists and as individuals.

We prioritize a strong foundation in core technique while encouraging exploration across genres, ensuring our Dancers are prepared, informed, and inspired by the ever-evolving dance industry. From ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, modern, tap, and lyrical to ballroom, musical theater, and Pilates, our program is designed to challenge, educate, and elevate every Dancer.

Beyond technical training, we strive to educate our students in all aspects of the dance industry, including audition preparation, professional etiquette, securing representation, headshots, choreography, on-camera work, and performance opportunities. Our goal is to prepare Dancers not only for success in the studio, but for future opportunities both within and beyond the professional dance world.

As a pre-professional training program, we believe excellence is achieved through dedication, accountability, perseverance, humility, teamwork, and respect for others. We are committed to maintaining a supportive, hard-working community where Dancers are encouraged to challenge themselves while celebrating one another's successes.

At Evoke Dance Movement, we are equally committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free environment. Every Dancer deserves to feel seen, supported, respected, and empowered throughout their artistic journey. Together, we share the responsibility of preserving this culture by treating faculty, staff, volunteers, fellow Dancers, and studio families with kindness, professionalism, integrity, and respect at all times.

Expectations & Commitment

2. SPORTSMANSHIP AND CONDUCT

Evoke expects all Company members and their families to demonstrate the highest level of respect toward all individuals and environments within our dance community, both inside and outside the studio, including on social media.

If an Owner, Director, or Teacher witnesses or receives a credible report of behavior that falls short of these standards, it may result in immediate dismissal from the Company. Our mission goes beyond creating exceptional Dancers. We are dedicated to fostering kind, respectful, and professional individuals. Should any issues arise during an event, Evoke leadership will intervene promptly to de-escalate the situation and will address any further necessary actions in a timely manner once the event concludes.

Maintaining professionalism is essential to the success of our studio, and our top priority at events is to support our students. Matters that do not require immediate attention will be handled discreetly after we are no longer in the industry environment.

3. BULLYING, HARASSMENT & DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Evoke Dance Movement maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, retaliation, or any behavior that creates an unsafe, hostile, or disruptive environment.

This policy applies to all Dancers, Parents/Guardians, family members, faculty, staff, volunteers, guests, and visitors during Studio activities, competitions, conventions, performances, travel, and through electronic communications or social media when such conduct impacts the Studio community.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

• Verbal abuse or threats

• Physical intimidation or aggression

• Harassment based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic

• Cyberbullying or inappropriate online conduct directed toward members of the Studio community

• Deliberate exclusion, humiliation, or retaliation

Reports of misconduct will be reviewed by Studio leadership. Evoke Dance Movement reserves the right to investigate any reported incident and determine the appropriate course of action, including suspension or immediate dismissal from the Company when deemed necessary.

4. PARENT EXPECTATIONS

Parents and Guardians play an important role in creating a positive experience for every Dancer. By enrolling in the Evoke Dance Movement Company, Parents and Guardians agree to support the Studio's mission, policies, faculty, staff, volunteers, and leadership.

Parents and Guardians are expected to:

• Communicate respectfully and professionally with all faculty, staff, Dancers, and other studio families.

• Address concerns directly with Studio leadership through the appropriate channels rather than through social media, group messaging, or gossip.

• Foster a positive, encouraging environment that supports the growth and well-being of all Dancers.

• Ensure their Dancer arrives on time, prepared, and in compliance with all dress code and attendance requirements.

• Meet all financial obligations outlined in this Agreement.

• Represent Evoke Dance Movement with professionalism, respect, and integrity at all classes, rehearsals, competitions, conventions, performances, and Studio-related events.

Disrespectful, threatening, intimidating, abusive, or disruptive behavior by a Parent, Guardian, family member, or guest may result in disciplinary action, removal from Studio activities, suspension, or termination of the family's enrollment at the sole discretion of Evoke Dance Movement. Any such removal or termination shall not release the Parent/Guardian from the financial obligations agreed to under this Agreement, all of which shall remain due and payable in accordance with the terms of this Contract.

5. COMMITMENT, WITHDRAWL & FINANCIAL OBLIGATION

Enrollment in the 2026–2027 Evoke Dance Movement Company is a commitment to the full 12-month season (September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027). By accepting placement in the Company, the Parent/Guardian and Dancer acknowledge responsibility for the annual tuition and all associated financial obligations for the duration of the season, including, but not limited to, tuition, costume fees, competition fees, convention fees, teacher fees, choreography fees, and any other expenses outlined in this Agreement or reasonably incurred or committed by Evoke Dance Movement on the Dancer's behalf.

Certain expenses are committed by Evoke well in advance of rehearsals, competitions, conventions, performances, and other events and may become non-refundable once incurred or contractually committed.

Should a Dancer withdraw, resign, discontinue participation, or be removed from the Company for any reason, the Parent/Guardian remains responsible for all financial obligations incurred or committed on the Dancer's behalf by Evoke Dance Movement, including amounts already paid or contractually committed to third parties, unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Evoke Dance Movement.

Any unpaid balances may become immediately due upon withdrawal or removal unless an alternative payment arrangement has been approved in writing by Evoke Dance Movement. The Studio reserves the right to pursue collection of outstanding balances, and the Parent/Guardian agrees to be responsible for any reasonable collection costs, court costs, and attorneys' fees to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Evoke Dance Movement may approve exceptions, releases, credits, or payment accommodations at its sole discretion. Any exception granted shall not constitute a waiver of the Studio's rights under this Agreement or establish a precedent for future situations.

6. DIRECTOR AUTHORITY & ARTISTIC DISCRETION

Evoke Dance Movement is committed to providing the highest quality training, education, and artistic experience for every Dancer. To ensure the continued success of the Company and the integrity of its programs, all artistic, educational, operational, and disciplinary decisions shall remain at the sole discretion of Evoke Dance Movement Ownership and Directors.

Ownership and Directors reserve the exclusive right to make decisions regarding, including but not limited to:

• Company and class placement

• Routine assignments, casting, and participation

• Choreography, formations, spacing, and staging

• Alternate assignments and substitutions

• Rehearsal schedules and additional rehearsal requirements

• Competition, convention, and performance attendance

• Costume selections, alterations, or substitutions

• Promotions, awards, leadership opportunities, and special performances

• Schedule changes or program modifications

• Disciplinary action, suspension, or dismissal from classes, routines, or the Company

These decisions are made in the best interest of both the individual Dancer and the Company as a whole.

I understand that the audition packet submitted on behalf of my child is used by Evoke as an important planning tool when determining Company placement, routine assignments, and scheduling. Ownership and Directors will make reasonable efforts to honor the scheduling limitations and requests identified in the audition packet whenever reasonably possible; however, all placement decisions are made solely at their discretion based on what they determine to be the best educational and artistic experience for both the individual Dancer and the Company as a whole.

If my child is placed in a routine that falls within the scheduling limitations identified in the audition packet, I agree that my child will remain committed to that routine for the duration of the season and will not withdraw from participation. I further understand that the scheduling limitations submitted during the audition process may impact my child's placement opportunities, routine assignments, or eligibility to be offered a position within the Company.

Placement in the Company, participation in specific routines, solos, duos, trios, leadership positions, scholarships, featured roles, or other performance opportunities is not guaranteed and may be modified, reassigned, or revoked at any time at the sole discretion of Ownership and Directors.

All decisions made by Ownership and Directors are final. By enrolling in the Evoke Dance Movement Company, the Parent/Guardian and Dancer acknowledge and agree to respect and abide by these decisions and understand that they are not subject to appeal.

Financial Policies

7. TUITION

• Tuition is due on the 1st of every month.

• A $25 late fee will be applied to any payment not received within 5 business days of the listed payment deadline.

• Payment Method: at this time, we are only accepting payments via Venmo. (Cash may be accepted if you're experiencing issues with your Venmo account.) Please note that Evoke is currently exploring new payment tracking platform. Should we decide to move forward with a new platform, a small transaction fee may be added.

TUITION RATES:

• Micro Mini Company: $415 per month (12-month commitment; $4,980 annually)

Tuition is based on the Company's annual training program and reserves each Dancer's place for the full season. Monthly installments are provided as a convenience and represent equal payments toward the annual tuition; they are not based on the number of classes attended in any given month. Tuition remains due regardless of studio closures, holidays, scheduled breaks, vacations, illness, missed classes, competitions, conventions, performances, or other Company events.

Tuition is not refundable or subject to credit for closures due to weather, government orders, natural disasters, power outages, facility issues, or any other circumstances beyond Evoke Dance Movement's reasonable control. Tuition is non-refundable, non-transferable, and will not be prorated except where required by law or at the sole discretion of Evoke Dance Movement.

Multiple Student Discount:

Families with more than one student enrolled will receive 10% off the tuition of the youngest sibling. The oldest sibling will pay the full tuition rate. Discount applies to annual tuition only.

8. PAYMENT POLICY

At this time, we are only accepting payments via Venmo. (Cash may be accepted if you are experiencing issues with your Venmo account.)

Please note that Evoke is currently evaluating a new payment processing platform. If implemented, future payments may be subject to a processing fee. While final rates have not yet been confirmed, we recommend anticipating a fee of up to 3% plus $0.30 per transaction. Processing fees may be higher for American Express (AMEX) cards. Families will be notified before any changes take effect

A $25 late fee will be applied to any payment not received within 5 business days of the listed payment deadline.

All payments made to Evoke Dance Movement are non-refundable. If Evoke determines that a payment is eligible for a refund, the amount will be issued as a studio credit that may be applied toward a future payment or balance.

9. AUDITION & ENROLLMENT FEES

AUDITION FEE:

I understand that the Audition Fee is due by August 1st, 2026.

• Audition Fee: - $75

Total due on 8/1: $75

ENROLLMENT FEE:

I understand that the Enrollment Fee is due on September 1st, 2026, at the start of the new season.

The 'Enrollment Fee' encompasses the following fees:

• Registration Fee: $75

• Rehearsal Fee: $100

Total due on 9/1: $175

I acknowledge that the Audition Fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether I choose to withdraw or if my child is removed from the Company following auditions.

10. ROUTINE FEE

The choreography fee is a set fee per Dancer for groups, solos and duo/trios. This fee pays the choreographer a fair amount for their work, time and expertise.

Trevor Lerma:

• Solo: $200 + Weekly privates

• Group: $200 per routine

• Duo: $105 each + Weekly privates

• Trio: $70 each + Weekly privates

Courtney Barclay:

• Solo: $850

• Group: $200 per routine

• Duo: TBD

Other Choreographers:

• Solo: $170 + Weekly privates

• Group: $130 per routine

As announced, Courtney Barclay will not be offering set weekly privates during the 2026–2027 season. Soloists will rehearse with her during a scheduled rehearsal block, which is included in the solo choreography fee with no additional room rental cost required, and will be scheduled by the studio following auditions. Courtney's soloists will have weekly or bi-weekly rehearsal privates with Trevor Lerma.

Privates with Courtney will be available occasionally, based on her availability. Families will be notified of available dates ahead of time, and will schedule these privates through the studio.

COSTUME & MUSIC DEPOSIT:

This deposit will be paid to Evoke in three installments of $50 each, on the dates listed above. Our target price for each costume is between $150 and $250. Any remaining costume balances will be collected on June 1st. All costumes remain the property of Evoke Dance Movement until the season has concluded and all costume balances have been fully paid.

Music will be chosen by the choreographers but approved by the Directors. All company routines require the music to be edited. If necessary to cover costs of the music editor there may be a music editing fee per routine deducted from your deposit. Keep in mind that a solo and duo/trio may cost more than a group because the fee will be divided by less people. This fee will range between $5-$25 per person per routine. Solos and duo/trios $10-$50 per person per routine.

11. ROOM RENTAL / PRIVATE FEES

• Solo or Technique Private: $20 per 30 minutes (paid to Evoke)

• Duo/Trio Private: $10 per person, per 30 minutes (paid to Evoke)

Private, solo, duo and trio instruction fees will be set by each hired teacher and paid directly to them.

All Company members are strongly encouraged to have one weekly private. For Dancers who do not have a solo private, we highly encourage a weekly technique private, as it provides valuable one-on-one time with their teacher and allows for more personalized growth, training, and feedback.

Training & Participation

12. ATTENDANCE / ABSENCE

At Evoke Dance Movement consistent attendance is essential to the growth and success of every Dancer and the team as a whole. All Dancers are required to attend all weekly scheduled classes, rehearsals, and company commitments unless prior arrangements have been made and approved.

We recognize and support the importance of Dancers having well-rounded lives outside the studio. Evoke encourages students to be socially engaged and participate in extracurricular activities, including high school dance teams. However, by auditioning for and accepting a spot on the Evoke Company, we ask that Dancers and their families prioritize all mandatory Evoke dates over any other outside commitments, including school teams and events.

We are happy to work individually with students involved in school-affiliated activities to coordinate appropriate make-up classes when occasional conflicts arise. That said, mandatory Evoke events (such as rehearsals and competitions) must take precedence in order to maintain the integrity and preparedness of our teams.

Please note that excessive absences, tardiness, or missed rehearsals may affect a Dancer’s placement in routines or overall standing within the company.

ABSENCE:

If you need to miss a class, please email info@evokedancemovement.com. All non-emergency absences must be requested via email and approved in advance. For privates, you must notify your teacher at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise, you will be charged. Unexcused absences are not acceptable.

At Evoke, we strive to maintain a company culture built on clear communication. If a student must miss a company class, it is the responsibility of the student and their Parents/Guardians to ensure they catch up on what was missed. This may involve scheduling a private, subject to the teacher’s discretion.

13. EXTRA REHEARSALS

Evoke is committed to supporting family balance by limiting weekend rehearsals during the early portion of the season. Instead of holding recurring weekend rehearsals throughout the year, Evoke strategically concentrates these rehearsals closer to the start of competition season. This approach reduces early-year time commitments while still providing the necessary time to polish routines during the most essential phase of preparation.

Company families are required to reserve all dates listed on the “Save the Dates” calendar for potential weekend rehearsals. While not every routine will be scheduled on every listed date, families must keep all dates available, as these rehearsals serve as final preparation for dress rehearsal and the team’s first full-company event of the season. Please note that not all of the listed dates will necessarily be used in full.

A finalized weekend rehearsal schedule will be released following winter break.

14. INTENSIVE / MASTER CLASSES

Intensive:

An intensive date will be shared at a later time.

Master teachers are contracted based on full Company participation. Because these commitments are made in advance, the Intensive fee is required for all Company members, even if a Dancer is unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict or any other absence.

Master Classes:

Throughout the season, Evoke may host master classes with guest artists and industry professionals. Associated fees will be communicated in advance.

15. COMPANY PHOTOSHOOTS

I acknowledge and agree to participate in the mandatory Company Photoshoot, including individual headshots and dance photos.

I understand and agree that Evoke retains ownership of all images captured during the photoshoot. However, I will be granted non-exclusive, perpetual usage rights for personal and promotional purposes, including digital and print media, subject to Evoke's policies.

The required headshot fee is $60 per Dancer. Company Photoshoot date, fees, along with the payment due date, will be communicated at a later time.

Conventions & Events

16. MANDATORY EVENTS

All Evoke Company members are required to attend the following mandatory events.

Season 17 Mandatory Events:

• RADIX – Anaheim | December 11–13, 2026

• Ovation – Anaheim | March 19–21, 2027

• Press Play – Long Beach | April 23–25, 2027

• RYZE – Anaheim | May 21–23, 2027

Attendance at all other Evoke events is optional for our Micro Mini Company members. Please note that solos can not be competed at optional events.

ALTERNATE POLICY:

If you are selected for the Company but cannot attend a mandatory competition or convention, and an alternate is needed to perform in your place, you agree to cover the costs associated with that alternate's participation. These costs include line fees, teacher fees, costume fees, and convention fees. Failure to participate in any required event may impact a Dancer's eligibility to remain on the Company.

If no alternate is required for the routine, you will not be charged line fees; however, teacher fees will still apply. Evoke is committed to fairness and accountability, and neither the studio nor other Evoke families should incur additional expenses as a result of a Dancer missing a mandatory event.

17. OPTIONAL EVENTS

Evoke encourages Dancers to attend optional competitions, conventions, and master classes, provided these do not conflict with Evoke’s schedule. If you plan to attend an optional event, please notify Evoke staff in advance to keep us informed. We ask that families avoid traveling on Thursdays whenever possible so Dancers do not miss their scheduled classes at Evoke.

• RYZE – San Francisco | April 2-4, 2027

• JUMP – Anaheim | May 7-9, 2027

• VELOCITY – Anaheim | May 7-9, 2027

We recommend avoiding events on April 16–18, 2027, as they are followed by two back-to-back weekends of mandatory studio competitions.

18. COMPETITION WEEKS LEADING UP TO EVENT

Convention and competition weekends are an important part of our season, and full commitment is essential. All Company members are expected to attend every assigned company rehearsal, and technique class during the week leading up to a scheduled competition or convention. This final week is considered a Mandatory Rehearsal Week, and attendance is non-negotiable.

In preparation for Nationals*, this mandatory rehearsal period is extended to two weeks immediately preceding the event. Attendance during this two-week period is also non-negotiable. (*See Section 20)

If a Dancer misses class and/or company rehearsals during these mandatory weeks:

• Soloists may not be permitted to perform their solo(s) at the upcoming event.

• Group Dancers may have their participation in group routines re-evaluated based on rehearsal attendance, preparedness, and the needs of the team.

  
  

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. In such cases, Evoke’s Owners and Directors will make decisions based on what is in the best interest of the team as a whole. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and agree to respect and support any such decisions made by Evoke leadership, understanding that these decisions are final.

19. TRAVEL

Families are responsible for booking their own travel and hotel accommodations for the events. For local competitions, there may be times where an overnight hotel stay is recommended, and those arrangements will also be made individually by each family. Evoke does not coordinate or reserve hotel rooms on behalf of families.

Evoke representatives will be present at all mandatory Evoke events to support and guide our Dancers. To help cover associated travel and staffing expenses, a ‘teacher fee’ will be charged for each competition or convention. This fee varies based on the event location and the actual staffing and travel costs incurred, but will typically range from $115 to $145 per Dancer, per event. The fee for Nationals* will be higher due to the longer duration of the event and will be shared closer to the event date. (*See Section 20)

This fee helps cover:


• Staff travel (airfare, hotel, gas, parking)


• Food and per diem 


• Staff and supervision at the event


• Administrative costs

Each teacher fee will be included in your Event Fee Payment Schedule.

20. NATIONALS / NEW YORK CITY EXPERIENCE

For the 2026–2027 season, Evoke is considering two end-of-season options: The ONE Nationals, (Mandatory for our Mini-Senior company ONLY), or The MOVEMENT Experience: New York City. Because interest has been evenly split between both options, we would like to take a little more time to explore each opportunity and gather additional feedback from both returning and new Company families before making a final decision. The selected end-of-season event will be announced no later than October 1, 2026.

21. EXPECTATIONS AT EVENTS

Evoke expects all Company members to arrive on time, fully prepared, and ready to participate in all aspects of each event. Dancers must check their costume bags in advance to ensure all required items are packed and in proper condition. If any issues arise, checking early allows staff the opportunity to assist before the event begins.

Dressing rooms provided by the event must be used for all costume changes. Changing in hotel rooms is not permitted, as it limits our ability to stay organized and together as a team.

Upon arrival at an event, Dancers must check in with an Evoke staff member and remain available and attentive for performances, convention classes, and any other scheduled responsibilities.

All Dancers must be completely performance-ready (hair, makeup, costume, shoes, accessories, and fully warmed up) no later than the time the Evoke routine immediately preceding their performance takes the stage.

Once the preceding Evoke routine begins, Dancers should remain with their team and be available to rehearse, receive corrections, stretch, and prepare mentally for their performance. No Dancer, unless completing a designated quick change, should return to the dressing room to finish hair, makeup, costumes, or any other preparations.

Example: If Teen Jazz is performing, and you are not in that routine but are performing in Teen Hip Hop or Teen Contemporary, you should already be completely performance-ready for that routine. As soon as Teen Hip Hop finishes, the Directors should be able to begin rehearsing Teen Contemporary immediately while Dancers from Teen Hip Hop complete their quick changes.

Participation in all convention classes is mandatory at required events. As representatives of Evoke, Dancers are expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect, and a positive attitude at all times. Any reports of unacceptable behavior will be met with appropriate consequences.

When it comes to solo entries at competitions, priority will be given to in-house choreography. All final decisions regarding which solos are entered will be made by Evoke.

22. EVENT PRIZE MONEY

Any prize money awarded to Evoke will be divided equally among three parties:

• One-third will go toward a general student fund, used to support student-centered initiatives such as company events, treats and gifts, or complimentary masterclasses. Depending on available resources and seasonal needs.

• One-third will be allocated to the studio’s general fund, helping to cover operational expenses like facility maintenance, sound equipment, flooring, and other studio improvements.

• The remaining one-third will be awarded to the choreographer of the winning routine(s).

This ensures that the success of our routines supports the Dancers, the choreographers, and the continued growth of the studio as a whole.

Presentation

23. ATTIRE

Class Attire: Dancers should wear fitted black dancewear. Baggy clothing is allowed for Hip Hop classes only and must also be black. Colored dancewear is not permitted outside of the summer session.

Contemporary/Jazz: Athletic dance pants are allowed; sweatpants are not.

Footwear: Tap shoes are required for Tap classes. Clean, studio-only sneakers are required for Hip Hop classes.

Ballet Attire: Female-Identifying Dancers: Black leotard, pink, or flesh-toned tights, and ballet shoes. Tights and shoes must be matching in color.

Male-Identifying Dancers: Black shorts or black dance tights with a fitted black shirt. Black or pink/flesh-toned ballet shoes. Loose-fitting pants are not permitted, and knees must be visible at all times for faculty to properly see technique and alignment. Tights and shoes must be matching in color.

Ballroom Attire: Proper ballroom shoes are required. Female-identifying Dancers are encouraged to wear a ballroom skirt, but it is not required.

Jewelry: For the safety of all Dancers, jewelry is not permitted during classes and rehearsals. Small stud earrings or small, close-fitting hoops are permitted; however, dangling or loose jewelry is not allowed.

Company Apparel:

All Company members are required to purchase and wear an official Evoke Company jacket and backpack for competitions. These items will be embroidered or screen printed with your Dancer’s name.

The Company jacket must be worn zipped up with black bottoms. Dancers should also cover their costumes with the zipped-up Company jacket until they are ready to perform.

To maintain a cohesive and professional appearance, we ask that no rhinestones or embellishments be applied to any Evoke apparel. If decorations are added, and cannot be removed, a replacement jacket will be required at your expense.

Evoke also offers optional studio apparel throughout the season. While purchasing these additional items is encouraged, it is not required.

24. HAIR & MAKE-UP

All hairstyles for competition will be determined by the Directors and Choreographers. We will provide detailed instructions and information well in advance. While Evoke does not endorse specific haircuts or colors, we kindly ask that you inform us of any planned changes to your hair. This helps ensure your hairstyle will not interfere with costume/accessory options.

For Dancers with shorter hair, please be prepared to use hairpieces and plenty of bobby pins as needed to secure your hair and maintain a uniform look.

We’ll also send you a recommended color palette with lipstick shades and other makeup info. You’re welcome to use your own makeup as long as the colors match the palette. You can either buy what you need on your own, or we can get it for you and add it to your costume balance.

Studio Policies

25. PARENT VIEWING

All classes at Evoke are closed to Parents, Guardians, and outside visitors to minimize distractions and maintain the highest quality of instruction for our students. If you would like to observe a class, please contact our team to arrange a time for viewing.

26. STUDIO PROPERTY & EQUIPMENT

Parents/Guardians acknowledge responsibility for all costumes, props, accessories, studio equipment, and other Studio property issued to or used by the Dancer during the season.

The Parent/Guardian agrees to reimburse Evoke Dance Movement for the repair or replacement cost of any Studio property that is lost, stolen, damaged beyond normal wear and tear, or not returned when requested, including but not limited to costumes, costume accessories, props, rehearsal materials, equipment, or other Studio-owned items.

Parents/Guardians further agree to be financially responsible for any damage to Studio facilities, equipment, furniture, flooring, mirrors, sound systems, or other property resulting from the negligent, reckless, or intentional acts of the Dancer, Parent/Guardian, family members, or guests.

Replacement or repair costs shall be determined by Evoke Dance Movement and are due upon receipt of notice.

27. EMERGENCY MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION

The Parent/Guardian certifies that the information provided to Evoke Dance Movement regarding the Dancer's emergency contacts, medical conditions, allergies, and medications is accurate and will be kept current throughout the season.

In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency during any class, rehearsal, performance, competition, convention, travel, or other Evoke Dance Movement activity, every reasonable effort will be made to contact the Parent/Guardian or designated emergency contact. If neither can be reached in a timely manner and immediate medical attention is deemed necessary, the Parent/Guardian authorizes Evoke Dance Movement, its Owners, Directors, Faculty, Staff, and designated representatives to obtain emergency medical evaluation, treatment, transportation, and care for the Dancer as recommended by licensed medical professionals.

The Parent/Guardian understands and agrees that all costs associated with emergency medical treatment, transportation, hospitalization, or related medical services are the sole responsibility of the Parent/Guardian and/or their insurance provider.

28. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA RELEASE

The Parent/Guardian grants Evoke Dance Movement permission to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture the Dancer's likeness, image, voice, performances, rehearsals, classes, competitions, conventions, and other Studio activities.

The Parent/Guardian authorizes Evoke Dance Movement to use, reproduce, edit, publish, distribute, and display such photographs, videos, and recordings for lawful promotional, educational, and business purposes, including but not limited to the Studio's website, social media platforms, digital and print advertising, marketing materials, promotional videos, brochures, newsletters, presentations, printed materials, and other Studio publications or communications.

The Parent/Guardian understands that no compensation or royalty will be provided for the use of such photographs, videos, or recordings and waives any right to inspect or approve the finished materials in which the Dancer's likeness appears.

29. PROTECTING OUR STUDIO COMMUNITY

To protect our choreography, as well as the choreographers’ music selections and edits, we kindly ask that you do not post any videos or images of rehearsals, costumes, performances, or competitions on any platform until after the second group competion event of the season.

If you’re ever unsure about whether something can be shared, please check with the Evoke Directors before posting to avoid unintentionally impacting Evoke or our choreographers.

Legal

30. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Agreement is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, and any invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent whenever possible.

31. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in a state or federal court located in San Diego County, California. The Parent/Guardian and Dancer consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

I have read all of the requirements and instructions in the 2026-2027 Evoke Dance Movement Company Contract. I agree with the terms of this agreement and fully plan on executing the high level of integrity and professionalism asked for by Evoke Dance Movement.
